Test the app
Step 1

Installation of the app

Please first use the test version of the app in a test environment in your shop to ensure that the app works smoothly in your shop with the theme and apps used and with your shop configuration.

Install the app in a test environment in your shop. If you install the app in the live environment of your shop, you should make a complete backup of your shop beforehand, as the reinstallation of apps can always lead to incompatibilities and, in the worst case, to the non-functionality of your shop.

After you have obtained the test version of the app via your Shopware account, you can download the app from the Shopware store. You can then upload the app in the backend in the area "Extensions" > "My extensions" by clicking on the blue button "Upload extension" (top right).

If the app has been uploaded successfully, it should appear in the "My Extensions" list in the "Apps" tab. You can now install the app in your shop by clicking on the "Install app" link.

Step 2

Setup of the app

In the following we explain how you can set up the app after installation.

Step 1: Activation of the app

As soon as you have installed the app, you can activate the app in the administration in the area "Extensions" > "My extensions" in the "Apps" tab by clicking the controller button to the left of the app name. When the app is active, the slider turns blue.

Step 2: Setting the content for the banners

After the successful installation and activation of the app, you will find a new submenu item in the backend menu under "Marketing":"Banner Generator". Here you can set up the banners. The following 4 steps will guide you through the setup: (1) design, (2) images, (3) text and link and (4) colors. In step (1) you can select the desired layout for the banner. Then you can store the images for the banner in step (2). You can choose to use standard images or your own images. If you have stored the images, you can set the texts and the links in step (3). In the last step of the setup, in Step ( 4), you can set the colors you want for the elements of the banner.

Step 3: Add via Shopping Experiences

To add a banner to your shop, go to the administration in the area "Contents">"Shopping Experiences" and open the desired experience world in which the respective banner should appear. You can then add the “banner” block to the adventure world using drag & drop. You will find the block in the "Text and Image" category. If you move the mouse over the element, an icon for the settings appears. By clicking on the settings icon allows you to edit the respective element.

Step 4: Settings of the banner

In the options of the banner element you can select which banner should be displayed in the adventure world. You can also specify the screen sizes for which the banner should be displayed. In our case, mobile means up to a screen width of 767 pixels, tablet means from 768 pixels to 1279 pixels and desktop means a screen width of 1280 pixels or more.
