Please use the test version of the plugin first, at best in a test environment of your shop, to ensure that the plugin in your shop works smoothly with the theme and plugins used.
Preferably install the plugin in a test environment in your shop. If you install the plug-in in the live environment of your shop, you should make a complete backup of your shop beforehand, as the reinstallation of plug-ins can always lead to incompatibilities and, in the worst case, to the non-functionality of your shop.
After you have obtained the test version of the plug-in via your Shopware account, you can download the plug-in from the Shopware store. You can then install the plugin using the Plugin Manager. You can reach this in the backend under "Settings"> "Plugin Manager".
In the following we explain how you can set up the plugin after installation.
As soon as you have installed the plugin, activate the plugin via the Plugin Manager. Only then should you make the plugin settings.
After the successful installation and activation of the plugin you will find a new submenu item in the backend menu under " Marketing " - "Advent calendar for shopping worlds ". To fill the advent calendar, click on the menu item "Advent Calendar ". In this view you can fill every day with the desired content. To do this, click on the respective day and enter the desired title, the text and, if necessary, the link including the link text in the fields and the image to be displayed including title. The following characters are valid in the fields: letters, numbers, @, €,%, /, +, (,), °, $, =,;, §, *, point, Comma, hyphen, question mark, exclamation mark, period and colon.
By clicking on the menu item at the top right " Settings " you can make the desired settings. You can choose either a standard image as the background image for the advent calendar or your own image. which should be used as background image for the advent calendar. You can also specify the text for the little door here. Up to 65 characters are allowed in the fields, the following characters are valid: letters, numbers, @, €,%, /, +, (,), °, $, =,;, §, *, period, comma, hyphen, question mark, exclamation mark, period and colon.
So that the advent calendar appears in your shop, you can insert it in a shopping world. To do this, go to " Marketing "in the backend menu and then to the submenu item " Shopping worlds ". Select the desired shopping world or create a new shopping world in which the advent calendar should appear. In the editing view of the shopping world you will then find the " in the "Elements " tab in the "Additional elements " area Advent calendar" element. So that the advent calendar area is displayed, the shopping world " Active " and the desired shop should be assigned. In the shopping world under "Layout" you should use the "Lines" mode for the layout -Select settings so that the advent calendar is displayed correctly in the frontend. You should also set the number of columns to "1". With the other modes, you may have to make additional adjustments depending on the shop constellation n in the shopping world.
You can define further options for the advent calendar by clicking on the pencil icon that appears when hovering over the advent calendar element. For example, you have the option of the highlight color and the display adjust the numbers as needed.
To do this, go to " Settings" - "Caches" / "Performance " in the backend and then to the "Cache" tab Now a checkmark for "Template Cache" and "Compile themes". Then click on the button "Empty". Now a window appears in which you click the button "Compile themes" You should then see a message stating that the themes were successfully compiled.
Please note the time entered for the controller in the HTTP cache cache times for widgets / emotion. This can have an influence on when the little doors can be clicked. If the cache is too high -Times, it can happen that the door for the current day cannot be clicked in time. In the template file, the door for the current day is made clickable at 00:00 - but when this is clickable in your shop depends on Your cache settings (Shopware cache, server cache, etc.).
Determine which image you want to use as a background image. You can use a picture provided or your own picture.
